HB Tree Services is a Selwyn-based family business established in 2019 by Matt Hartley.

Matt believes that client relationships are of critical importance. Not only does he run the day-to-day operations, you will meet and receive your quote directly from him. You can have confidence in knowing Matt will be the primary arborist that will complete your work.

We have a strong, qualified team that are extremely passionate about trees. We love to discuss and share knowledge with clients for the on-going benefit of the tree.

As well as making sure the work we do is aesthetically pleasing to our clients, we strive to leave the trees we prune healthy and safe to be around.
Pruning trees can benefit the whole tree and removing dead, damaged and diseased branches helps prevent insect and decay organisms from entering the tree. Thinning a dense canopy on a tree increases air and sunlight, resulting in fewer disease problems.
Matt established HB Tree Services to give people the best possible service for an affordable rate, this extends to an entire garden maintenance offer. We truly believe in fair pricing and not ‘over quoting’.

We give back to the local community by donating firewood to families in need.
